Bikin' for Bostons: 6/29/19 Road Report

We are going to try to make up for the weekends we didn't get to log any miles because of the rain. We are planning short, shady rides with A/C stops so we can stay cool and comfortable. We rode 54 miles today and it was perfect.

Our sweet Maggie Magoo

Our sweet Maggie Magoo crossed the rainbow bridge last night.  Momma has no words so Daddy is here to help fill the silence. Whether you knew her as Maggie Mae, Magpie, Maggie Magoo, Mags, or her given name, Sugar Magnolia, if you EVER met Maggie, even once, what you are about to read contains nothing you don't already know. If you never met Maggie, by the time you read through this, you will feel like you have known her all of your life. I will not discuss the details of her passing but would rather write this as a celebration of what Maggie represented, which was happiness and love for everyone she ever met. Introduction: Jessie's Story

We first heard about Jessie when we seen a post from the Rescue Ranch asking for someone to transport a paralyzed Boston Terrier from Virginia to Georgia.  It was a Saturday night and Mamma looked at Daddy and said, "You up for a road trip?"

Introduction: Maydell the Warrior

Maydell taught us how to be special needs dog parents.  Maydell was rescued by the Rescue Ranch after being hit by a car.  Her evaluation at UGA showed that her spinal cord was severed and that her paralysis was permanent.
